Notice on Matters Related to the Application of 60GHz Frequency Band Micro-Power (Short-Distance) Radio Technology
To the radio management office (bureau) of each province, autonomous region, and municipality directly under the Central Government:
To adapt to the development of radio technology and to develop and utilize the frequency spectrum resources of high frequency band, the 59-64GHz frequency band, after being researched, is to be used in the application of micro-power (short-distance) radio technology according to the regulations of China for radio frequency classification and the use of frequency spectrum and referring to the related international regulations. Related matters are hereby notified as below:
I. The micro-power (short-distance) radio equipment of this frequency bank shall be managed according to the general micro-power (short-distance) radio emitting equipment in the “Notice on Issuing Technical Requirements for Micro-power (Short-Distance) Radio Equipment XBW [2005] No.423”.
II. Radio frequency indicators of the micro-power (short-distance) radio emitting equipment of this frequency band:
1. Carrier frequency tolerance: 500 x 10
2. Limit of aerial port output power: 10dBm
Peak equivalent isotropically radiated power limit: 47dBm
Average equivalent isotropically radiated power limit: 44dBm
3.Out-of-band emission limit (e.i.r.p): 57-59GHz and 64-66GHz： -5dBm/MHz (effective value)
4. Other radio frequency indicators shall meet the provisions of Part II “General Requirements” in the “Notice on Issuing Technical Requirements of Micro-power (Short-distance) Radio Equipment (XBW [2005] No.423)”.
III. The equipments of such frequency band shall not interfere with other legal radio businesses such as space research, earth resources detection, and radio astronomy, etc., and shall not propose the requirements for radio interference protection.
It is hereby notified.
