Notice about the regulations for application of Ultra Web Band

All radio administration offices (bureaus) in all provinces, autonomous regions, and directly governed regions, as well as national radio monitoring center:

 To meet the requirements of short distance high speed radio data telecommunication and improve the efficiency, the regulations about UWB technical frequency has been made, according to the distribution and actual applications of our radio frequencies. It is released and implemented today with immediate effect.

Regulations on UWB Technical Frequency

First, radio transition equipment of UWB

The transition signal bandwidth (-10dB bandwidth) of the equipment is 500MHz at least.

Second, the equivalent isotropically radiated power spectral density limit of the UWB transmit signal in UWB radio equipment

Note 1: 4.2-4.8GHz, the equivalent isotropically radiated power spectral density limit of the UWB transmit signal in UWB radio equipment can be -41dBm/MHz before Dec.31^st, 2010. After that, the UWB equipment has to undergo the signal inspection to avoid the jamming and the efficiency of the technique has to get the approval of the national radio management institution.

Third, Narrow-bandwidth stray radiation limit of UWB equipment

Fourth, it is forbidden to carry UWB equipment on air craft.

Fifth, Footnote “CHN12” of Regulations on Allotment of Radio Frequency of People’s Republic of China forbids to use UWB radio transmit equipment within 1km around Radio Astronomy Station.

Sixth, UWB radio transmit equipment manages the UWB radio transmit equipment by macropower (short distance). Before the application, the radio transmit equipment type certificate of authorized has to be issued by industry and information department.

Seventh, on application of UWB radio transmit equipment, there should be no radio jamming onto other radio businesses or requirements on the jamming protection.
